IBG Reflects on 2024 Trade Bridge Achievements and Signs 2025 Agreement

To strengthen ties and communication with “Trade Bridge” partners, review the effectiveness of collaborations, summarize experiences, and improve activity quality, the China Foreign Trade Centre held the “Trade Bridge” Supply and Procurement Matching Activity Summary and Exchange Meeting on January 9 at Area A of the Canton Fair Complex. Intennel Business Group, as the “Trade Bridge” partner in the UK region, was invited to participate in the 2024 activity summary meeting and the signing ceremony for the 2025 cooperation plan.

At the event, Su Bin, Deputy Secretary-General of the Canton Fair and Deputy Director of the China Foreign Trade Centre, delivered a speech. He highlighted that in 2024, the Canton Fair, in collaboration with “Trade Bridge” partners, organized over 700 “Trade Bridge” trade promotion events through four formats: “screen-to-screen,” “face-to-face,” “face-to-screen,” and “screen-first, face-later.” These activities built important bridges for buyers and achieved positive results, receiving widespread acclaim. Moving forward, Su encouraged partners to fully utilize the Canton Fair’s extensive supplier resources and the comprehensive features of the Canton Fair APP, such as supplier searches, exhibitor introductions, voice and video communication, business card management, and electronic product manuals, to facilitate more trade opportunities.

During the partner representative speeches, Qiu Zhaojun,Managing director of Intennel Business Group, expressed pride in being the Canton Fair’s “Trade Bridge” partner in the UK. In 2024, Intennel Business Group hosted three dedicated offline Canton Fair promotion events in the UK, organized three “Trade Bridge” online trade matching activities, and collaborated with a major UK exhibition group to promote the Canton Fair at UK consumer goods and apparel exhibitions. Additionally, Intennel Business Group facilitated the participation of organizations such as the West London Chamber of Commerce, the UK-China Local Economic and Trade Cooperation Promotion Association, and several well-known UK companies. Looking ahead to 2025, Intennel Business Group plans to focus on five key areas:

  • diversified promotion;
  • targeted promotion;
  • localized promotion;
  • interactive promotion;
  • modular promotion;

The company remains committed to its role in promoting the Canton Fair in the UK.

In his concluding remarks, Zhang Sihong, Deputy Secretary-General of the Canton Fair and Deputy Director of the China Foreign Trade Centre, summarized the meeting and outlined expectations and requirements for 2025 cooperation. He emphasized the importance of continuing to implement the guidance of President Xi Jinping’s congratulatory message and Premier Li Qiang’s instructions, aiming to build an everlasting Canton Fair. The “Trade Bridge” supply and procurement matching activities should focus on three main goals:

  • Empowering buyers and suppliers, improving the cooperation ecosystem, and creating more opportunities for collaboration.
  • Enhancing the quality and volume of foreign trade by targeting emerging markets and major buyers with a focus on securing orders.
  • Leveraging the strengths of each partner, activating resources, connecting domestic and international resources, and collecting procurement needs to improve trade demand accuracy.

He expressed hope that all partners would fully leverage their resources and industry influence in future “Trade Bridge” trade promotion activities to stabilize and enhance foreign trade, achieving even greater success.
