
On January 4, 2025, Mr. Zhaojun Qiu, The Managing Director of Intennel business group visits Oxford University.During his visit, he met with the managers and heads of several related institutions, including the Oxford University Innovation Company, the Oxford University Catalysis Centre, and the Oxford Prospects Program Centre.
Mr. Qiu mentioned that, after years of development, Intennel business group has grown into a comprehensive service company providing consulting, public relations, and marketing services. The company hopes to strengthen cooperation with various parties, especially in areas such as the commercialization of scientific research and education, as well as university-enterprise collaboration, to facilitate the implementation of projects. 1. Oxford University Innovation Company
This company is a wholly owned technology transfer company of the University of Oxford, responsible for converting the university’s scientific research outcomes into commercial applications. Its main functions include managing intellectual property, supporting start-up companies, promoting technology licensing, and providing innovation management consulting services. As of July 2020, the center managed 4,793 patent projects, facilitated 846 transactions, 529 consultancy agreements, and 359 technology disclosures, and incubated over 200 start-ups and spin-off companies. Additionally, the center offers technology transfer consulting services globally, with operations in more than 60 countries.
2. Oxford University Catalysis Centre
This center focuses on research in catalysis science, covering areas such as homogeneous catalysis, heterogeneous catalysis, and biocatalysis. Its research includes the design and synthesis of catalysts and their application in chemical reactions. The center primarily works on the development of clean energy and natural health products, including research and technology development in petroleum and natural gas processing, coal and biomass utilization, and catalytic new materials. Oxford Catalysts Company has successfully commercialized research results.
3. Oxford Prospects Program Centre
This center mainly organizes interdisciplinary academic exchange programs. The program aims to provide excellent students from top universities in China with the opportunity to study and live at the University of Oxford, promoting academic exchange and cultural experience.
