IBG Facilitates High-Level Business Meetings Between the Canton Fair Delegation and UK Industry Leaders Including LCCI, Currys, and John Lewis

Recently, leveraging the momentum of the 138th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) UK Promotion Event, IBG successfully fulfilled its role as a business bridge between China and the UK by organizing high-level meetings between the Canton Fair working group and leading players in the UK business community (see Image 1). The efforts made by IBG over the past two months in preparation for the event were highly praised by the event’s organizer—the China Foreign Trade Centre (see Image 2).

During the UK Promotion Event, led by IBG, the Canton Fair delegation held in-depth discussions with the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Europe’s leading electronics retail group Currys, and the iconic British department store John Lewis. Topics included deepening the Global Partnership Program of the Canton Fair, optimizing international exhibitor and buyer networks, and enhancing service capabilities for global buyers. These meetings resulted in multiple consensuses and demonstrated IBG’s strong ability to connect and integrate high-level resources across the China-UK trade landscape.

As the official UK partner and strategic promotion agency for the Canton Fair, IBG is committed to building an efficient and mutually beneficial UK-China trade ecosystem. In discussions with LCCI, IBG presented a comprehensive overview of the Canton Fair’s full-chain trade service ecosystem and proposed the establishment of a “Canton Fair UK Partner Network.” The initiative, which includes tailored business matchmaking and online participation services, aims to lower participation barriers for London-based SMEs and help British brands more efficiently expand into the Asian market. This proposal was met with strong recognition and positive response from the UK side.

In talks with leading retail groups such as Currys and John Lewis, IBG highlighted the exclusive benefits of the Canton Fair Global Partnership Program, including priority buyer-matching, customized supply chain services, and access to shared market insights. Drawing from its deep understanding of UK procurement needs, IBG also offered personalized exhibiting solutions—boosting confidence among top retailers in leveraging the Canton Fair to optimize their global sourcing strategies.

This series of high-level engagements marks another successful step in IBG’s ongoing work to support the Canton Fair and deepen its presence in the UK market. With forward-looking planning and efficient execution, IBG not only continues to strengthen the Canton Fair’s brand recognition within the UK business community, but also actively promotes deeper China-UK cooperation in supply chain integration and market development.
