IBG Visits Cambridgeshire Chamber of Commerce to Explore Cooperation on Promoting the Canton Fair and CIIE

On 11 June 2026, Mr. Qiu Zhaojun, Managing Director of Intennel, and Ms. Sun Xiaoyan, Marketing Executive, visited the Cambridgeshire Chamber of Commerce and met with Dr. Ilona Karpanos, Head of International Trade and Economic Development, for discussions and exchanges.

The two sides explored potential cooperation in promoting the China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) and the China International Import Expo (CIIE), and exchanged views on how to further enhance UK businesses’ awareness of and participation in these important Chinese exhibition platforms.

As two of China’s most significant international trade events, the Canton Fair and the CIIE have become important gateways for global businesses seeking opportunities in the Chinese market. The Canton Fair brings together buyers and suppliers from around the world, creating extensive opportunities for international trade cooperation and market expansion. Meanwhile, the CIIE focuses on import trade and industrial innovation, providing overseas companies with an efficient platform to showcase products, identify business partners and deepen their presence in China. For UK companies looking to expand into the Chinese market, both exhibitions serve not only as valuable windows into market trends but also as important channels for business networking, partnership development and opportunity exploration.

Intennel has long been committed to promoting UK-China economic and trade exchanges and international business cooperation. By actively connecting British chambers of commerce, industry associations and business communities, Intennel supports organisations in participating in international exhibitions, conducting business engagement activities and developing cross-border partnerships. This meeting further strengthened mutual understanding between the two parties and laid a solid foundation for future collaboration in exhibition promotion and economic and trade exchanges.

Looking ahead, Intennel will continue to leverage its international network and resource integration capabilities to work closely with more UK partners, helping UK businesses better understand and engage with China’s key exhibition platforms and supporting companies in exploring opportunities in the Chinese market and beyond.
