Intennel Business Group Invited to Attend the “Invest in China” UK Promotion Event

On April 4 (local time), the “Invest in China” UK Promotion Conference was successfully held in London. The event was attended by the Department of Foreign Investment Administration of China’s Ministry of Commerce, the Chinese Embassy in the UK, the UK Department for Business and Trade’s Investment Directorate, the China-Britain Business Council (CBBC), and the 48 Group Club, all of whom delivered speeches. Relevant local government departments from Fujian Province, Hubei Province, Liaoning Province, and Chongqing Municipality gave thematic presentations.

The event attracted significant attention from the British political and business communities, with over 300 representatives from government agencies, enterprises, and business associations from both China and the UK in attendance. The interest of the British political and business sectors in investing in China has risen notably.

The Chinese side stated that, under the strategic guidance of the leaders of both countries, China-UK economic and trade relations have been developing in a healthy and stable manner. In 2024, the UK was the largest European investor in China and the second-largest destination for China’s investment in Europe. On March 28, President Xi Jinping met with representatives of the international business community, reiterating that China remains firmly committed to advancing reform and opening up, and that China’s door to the outside world will only open wider. China’s policies to attract foreign investment have not changed and will not change.

At present, China is steadfastly promoting high-level opening-up, maintaining stable economic growth, continuously enhancing its innovation capacity, and accelerating the development of new quality productive forces. The Chinese side welcomes British investors to further expand cooperation in areas such as the digital economy, green and low-carbon development, and financial services. Additionally, China firmly opposes and strongly condemns the unilateralism, protectionism, and economic bullying of the United States’ imposition of “reciprocal tariffs”, stating that such practices seriously violate the legitimate rights and interests of all countries and severely undermine the multilateral trading system and the stability of global industrial and supply chains.

The UK side expressed that since last year, China-UK economic and trade relations have accelerated, with broad prospects for investment cooperation. The UK firmly opposes the US-imposed “reciprocal tariffs” and strongly supports free trade, expressing its willingness to work hand in hand with China to promote investment liberalization and facilitation. British companies and business associations attending the event stated that they remain optimistic about the Chinese market and are willing to continue expanding investment and cooperation with China to promote healthy and stable two-way investment between China and the UK.

Intennel Business Group was invited to participate in this promotion event. Mr. Qiu Zhaojun, Executive Director, attended the conference on behalf of the company.
