On April 14, the opening reception for the 137th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) was held at the Canton Fair Complex. Intennel Business Group was invited to attend the event, with company director Li Xiang representing the organization at the reception.
At the reception, Zhang Guozhi, Deputy Director of the Canton Fair, Member of the Standing Committee of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, and Vice Governor of Guangdong Province, delivered a speech. Overseas buyer representatives André Luiz Baptista Lins Rocha and Xiao Yunjie also gave remarks. The reception was hosted by Zhang Sihong, Deputy Director and Secretary General of the Canton Fair and Deputy Director of the China Foreign Trade Center.
In his speech, Zhang Guozhi emphasized the Chinese government’s strong commitment to ensuring the success of the Canton Fair. President Xi Jinping has twice sent congratulatory messages to the fair, expressing hopes for it to serve as a vital platform for China’s comprehensive opening-up, high-quality international trade development, and integration of domestic and international markets. Last year, Premier Li Qiang visited the Canton Fair and urged efforts to enhance its reputation as a “golden brand” and renew its image in the new era. This session of the Canton Fair aims to be more dynamic, more vibrant, and more open, providing an improved platform for international exchange and creating more diverse opportunities for cooperation. He extended a warm invitation to global enterprises to explore, learn about, and invest in Guangdong through the Canton Fair, and to share in development opportunities and achieve mutual benefit.
André stated that the Canton Fair has always been a significant driver of global trade. It allows participants to learn about major global development trends, cutting-edge technologies, and practical industrial solutions. He expressed confidence that this valuable experience would further strengthen ties with China.
Xiao Yunjie remarked that the Canton Fair is not only a bridge for trade but also a bellwether for industry development. It brings together frontier technologies, trend-setting designs, and innovative ideas, injecting continuous vitality into global trade. She expressed hope to build a closer partnership with the Canton Fair to promote business growth and contribute more to connecting Chinese suppliers with the international market.
