Managing Director of Intennel Business Group Visits Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce

On the afternoon of March 25, 2025, Mr. Qiu Zhaojun, Managing Director of Intennel Business Group, visited the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce for an in-depth discussion with Susana, Head of International Trade, on how to promote the Canton Fair in the UK. The purpose of this meeting was to enhance the understanding of the Canton Fair among businesses in Manchester and the Greater Manchester area and to explore ways to encourage more UK companies to participate in this international trade event.

Susana provided Mr. Qiu with an overview of the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce. She noted that the Chamber was established in 1820 and, with over 200 years of history, is one of the largest and most influential chambers of commerce in the UK. Currently, the Chamber has over 4,000 member companies, ranging from SMEs to multinational corporations. Its influence extends beyond Manchester city to include key areas in Greater Manchester, such as Salford, Bolton, Stockport, and eight other metropolitan districts. She specifically mentioned that many member companies have already established partnerships with China, while others are showing strong interest in the Chinese market, particularly in seeking new international trade opportunities.

During the meeting, Mr. Qiu gave a detailed introduction to the scale and unique features of the Canton Fair. He emphasized that as one of China’s largest and most influential trade exhibitions, the Canton Fair is held in three phases—spring, autumn, and import-export—attracting enterprises and buyers from all over the world. The Canton Fair serves not only as an excellent platform for global businesses to showcase their products and seek business partners, but also as a vital bridge for companies aiming to enter the Chinese market. Mr. Qiu expressed that the Canton Fair has always welcomed international companies to participate both as exhibitors and buyers. Through this meeting, he hopes to spark greater interest among UK companies, especially those that already have business ties with China, to further strengthen their engagement with the Chinese market.

Mr. Qiu highlighted that Intennel Business Group places great importance on its cooperation with the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce. He expressed hope that through joint efforts, both parties can strengthen their partnership and encourage more UK businesses to learn about and participate in the Canton Fair. By promoting this international platform, Intennel Business Group aims to help UK companies explore more opportunities in global markets, particularly in finding new growth drivers within China, the world’s largest consumer market.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Mr. Qiu and Susana reached an initial consensus to maintain close communication and further enhance the visibility of the Canton Fair in the UK, especially in Manchester and surrounding areas. They aim to encourage more businesses to seize the opportunities presented by this global trade event.
