“Caixin Roundtable – Caixin London Atlantic Dialogue” Successfully Held, Organized by the Company

On May 8, the “Caixin London Atlantic Dialogue” event, organized by the company, was successfully held at L39 in Canary Wharf, the London headquarters of Caixin Media.

Following its summits in Beijing, the Hong Kong Summer Summit, and the Singapore Asia Vision Forum, this London summit marked Caixin Media’s expansion of focus beyond the Asia-Pacific region to the Euro-Atlantic sphere. In her opening remarks, Ms. Hu Shuli, President of Caixin Media, noted that the London Atlantic Dialogue aims to create an open platform for dialogue and intellectual exchange amid a backdrop of intensified geopolitical competition, slowing globalization, and frequent technological disruptions. Framed around China–U.S.–Europe trilateral relations, the forum addresses paradigm shifts and global transitions.

“China is an important partner in advancing bilateral trade and investment,” said Dame Caroline Wilson, British Ambassador to China, during her speech. She emphasized the UK’s commitment to its relationship with China, stating that both countries have shown a willingness to deepen economic and trade ties. She underscored that engagement—not estrangement—is the best approach to managing differences and maximizing shared interests.

Philipp Rösler, former Vice Chancellor of Germany, expressed his belief that open markets, free trade, and fair competition are essential to globalization and global well-being—principles he noted are now being reconsidered by the United States.

In a virtual address, Mr. Fang Xinghai, former Vice Chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, stated: “In the face of unprecedented global changes, only by deepening dialogue and cooperation can nations move toward shared prosperity.”

Distinguished guests who delivered speeches or participated in panel discussions included Daniel Kritenbrink, former U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs and Partner at The Asia Group; Ashley Alder, Chair of the UK Financial Conduct Authority; Howard Dawber, Deputy Mayor of London; Sherard Cowper-Coles, Chair of the China-Britain Business Council and Senior Adviser to HSBC Holdings; Mark Leonard, Director of the European Council on Foreign Relations; and Fang Wenjian, General Manager of Bank of China London Branch.

From initial preparations to on-site execution, our company meticulously oversaw every aspect of the event. The seamless integration of online and offline formats enabled real-time dialogue and discussion, ensuring the overall success of the conference.
