Li Xiang Attends “Trade Bridge” Partners’ Meeting, Reports on UK Promotion of the Canton Fair

On July 16, the “Trade Bridge” supply and procurement matchmaking event partners’ symposium, hosted by the China Foreign Trade Centre, was held. Li Xiang, a director of the company, attended the meeting on behalf of the company as an official partner of the Canton Fair in the UK and reported on the Canton Fair’s promotion achievements in the UK and the promotional plan for the 138th session.

In his report, Li Xiang stated: “As the official UK partner of the Canton Fair, UK International Link has engaged UK business associations and buyers through diversified channels in 2025, providing one-stop participation services. In March this year, we successfully held a promotional event for the 137th Canton Fair in Glasgow, which attracted representatives from the Chinese Embassy in the UK, the Scottish local government, and the business community. The event was covered by 23 mainstream media outlets, including the BBC and the Financial Times, marking the first time the Canton Fair’s promotion has reached deep into Northern UK.
At the same time, we have comprehensively upgraded the ‘Trade Bridge’ brand, for example: increasing the frequency of events to monthly sessions; precisely matching UK buyers according to the Canton Fair’s industry themes; establishing strategic partnerships with chambers of commerce in major UK cities; setting up dedicated Canton Fair zones at key exhibitions such as in Birmingham; and organizing online matchmaking events that attracted registrations from more than 30 companies.”

“Regarding the UK promotional event for the 138th Canton Fair, we will adopt an innovative model in September featuring a main venue in London, a satellite venue in Belfast, and live online streaming to further expand the Canton Fair’s brand influence in the UK.”

“Our future promotional focus in the UK includes identifying potential buyers for new exhibition zones such as robotics; leveraging short videos and new media to reach younger audiences; providing value-added services such as 72-hour rapid response; and deepening collaboration with local exhibitions on multiple fronts.”

“The Canton Fair is an important bridge for China-UK trade,” Li Xiang emphasized. “We will continue to help UK companies seize opportunities in China through this platform.”
