On April 18, Qiu Zhaojun, Managing Director of IBG, conducted an in-depth visit to Hangzhou Yunshen Technology Co., Ltd. (DEEP Robotics, hereinafter referred to as “DEEP Robotics”). As one of the “Hangzhou Six Little Dragons” and a leading player in China’s embodied intelligence sector, DEEP Robotics warmly received the delegation. Both sides held discussions on the commercialization of robotic technologies across multiple industry scenarios, global market expansion, and future strategic cooperation.
Exploring the “Hangzhou Six Little Dragons”: Witnessing Hard-Tech Innovation
The Regional Sales Director of DEEP Robotics first accompanied Qiu on a tour of the company’s R&D exhibition center and intelligent manufacturing base. As a national-level “Little Giant” enterprise specializing in niche innovation, DEEP Robotics has focused on the development of quadruped robots, humanoid robots, and core components since its establishment in 2017.
During the visit, Qiu observed several of the company’s flagship products up close. From the “Jueying” series quadruped robots, widely used in power inspection and emergency rescue, to the “Lynx M20” wheeled-legged robot designed for complex terrains, and the world’s first industry-grade all-weather humanoid robot DR02, DEEP Robotics demonstrated its full-chain “perception–decision–execution” technological system, leaving a strong impression.
In particular, the DR02 humanoid robot stood out with its IP66-rated protection and its ability to operate across a wide temperature range from -20°C to 55°C. It breaks the limitation of humanoid robots being confined to controlled environments, demonstrating robust capabilities for real-world industrial applications.
Roundtable Discussion: Focus on Global Expansion and Commercialization
Following the visit, both sides held a roundtable discussion. The Regional Sales Director provided a detailed overview of the company’s development history, technological barriers, and market layout.
He noted that DEEP Robotics has adhered to a development path of “from quadruped to humanoid, from laboratory to real-world applications.” The company has now achieved full coverage across all 34 provincial-level regions in China and expanded into over 50 countries and regions worldwide.
He also highlighted key overseas breakthroughs, including a power tunnel inspection project with Singapore’s national grid, as well as the deployment of robotic dogs in the Hoh Xil uninhabited region to assist researchers in monitoring Tibetan antelopes. These examples demonstrate the reliability of DEEP Robotics’ products in diverse and extreme environments globally.
Shared Vision: Focusing on Long-Term Value
During the exchange, both sides agreed that embodied intelligence represents a key direction for future technological development, while also facing challenges such as supply chain integration, cost control, and scenario adaptation.
Qiu Zhaojun and DEEP Robotics explored potential cooperation models and exchanged views on the opportunities and challenges faced by Chinese enterprises expanding overseas. Qiu noted that the UK, as a market not yet a primary focus for DEEP Robotics, holds strong development potential. Leveraging its local resources and network, IBG will actively support the exploration of cooperation opportunities and assist the company in expanding into the UK and broader international markets.
