Intennel Business Group Partners with Scottish Asian Chamber of Commerce to Expand Canton Fair Opportunities

On September 18, Mr. Qiu Zhaojun, Managing Director of Intennel Business Group, visited the Scottish Asian Chamber of Commerce in Glasgow. Both sides reached a consensus on cooperation to organize a Scottish business delegation to attend the Canton Fair, building a new bridge for China–UK trade.

During the meeting, Mr. Qiu had in-depth discussions with the Chamber’s CEO, Mr. Oumar Akram, on arranging for Scottish enterprises to participate in the Canton Fair. As an official “Trade Bridge” partner of the Canton Fair, Intennel Business Group is actively working to expand the influence of China’s largest trade fair in the UK.

The talks focused on concrete plans for organizing a Scottish business delegation to the Canton Fair. Mr. Qiu shared Intennel’s successful experience in leading UK enterprises to the fair in past years and provided detailed market insights and participation guidance. The Chamber’s leadership expressed strong interest, recognizing that this initiative would offer Scottish companies valuable opportunities to explore the Chinese market.

During the visit, Mr. Qiu also toured a longstanding enterprise with a 40-year history, owned by a senior Chamber member, to gain a deeper understanding of local procurement needs and interest in cooperation with China. The company’s executive commented: “Building long-term, stable partnerships with Chinese counterparts is vital for our business growth.”

This collaboration will fully leverage the Canton Fair’s online and offline platforms, offering Scottish enterprises diverse matchmaking services such as “screen-to-screen” and “face-to-face” connections. Both sides plan to jointly host a series of events in the coming months, including Canton Fair promotion sessions and China–UK trade seminars, to help Scottish enterprises seize new opportunities in the Chinese market.

Intennel Business Group will continue to strengthen cooperation with leading chambers of commerce across the UK, further expanding the Canton Fair’s presence and making active contributions to the growth of China–UK trade. Such partnerships will not only support bilateral trade development but also help consolidate economic ties between China and the UK, fostering mutual benefit and win-win outcomes.
